Dear Blue Hill School Parents
We will be offering FREE Breakfasts and Lunches to students starting today (Thursday, September 10)!
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending the program we ran during the school closure in the spring to provide FREE meals to all Preschool through Grade 12 enrolled students. This will include Breakfasts and Lunches. We just found out that this program took effect on September 1st. All student accounts will be credited for their main breakfast and lunch meals that students purchased since September 1 (extra milk, à la carte items, and second servings are not included). Meals purchased in August are not included.
This program will run as long as funding continues. The hope of the USDA is for funds to be available for this Free Meal program to continue until December 31, 2020. You will still need to keep a positive lunch balance in your account to avoid the weekly Auto-Send messages that go out if your student’s lunch balance falls below $0. This program is great news for families and we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.
